Why are passkeys and MFA free?
Strong authentication is foundational to how Adetio is built, not an upsell — so we don’t gate passkeys or MFA behind a paid tier the way some US competitors do.
How is MAU counted?
A monthly active user is a unique user who authenticates at least once in a calendar month. We never double-count a user across your apps in the same workspace.
What happens when I exceed my included MAU?
You’re billed the per-MAU overage shown on your plan — transparent and metered, with a one-month grace period so your app never stops working while you decide.
Where is my data hosted?
In the EU by default — you choose Frankfurt (eu-central-1) or Paris (eu-west-3) at setup, and it stays there under EU law.
Can I self-host?
Not today — Adetio runs as a managed European cloud, because that is how we can guarantee the residency and security posture we advertise. If self-hosting is a hard requirement in your sector, talk to us: enterprise deployment options are shaped by exactly these conversations.
Can I leave?
At any time. Export your users — including password hashes — through a public API. Predictable pricing, no per-connection surprises, no lock-in.
